Join the Revolution! Banish Misleading ‘Gurus’.

Have you heard about SteamFeed.com yet? It is a marketing, social media, and tech resource by real professionals, not the so-called ‘experts’, ‘gurus’, ‘ninjas’ or ‘warriors’ that is very common on the web today.

The website was founded a couple of months ago by Daniel Hebert and DJ Thistle who were fed up with all the self-proclaimed internet ‘gurus’ out there. They questioned the fact that someone can call themselves an expert in their industry, but looking at what they do, it does not match what they preach. So Daniel and DJ thought there were both a time and a need for change.

We’re on a mission to clean up the internet from misleading information. We’re tired of ‘fakes’ taking over our respected fields. We want to take back our industries. This is a revolution“, they say.

SteamFeed.com is a place where people can gather, and get great, accurate information about marketing, social media, and technology.

We’re very careful about who we select as authors. We want to become the number 1 place for small business owners to get their marketing, social media, and tech resources. It’s an ambitious goal, but we’re very hungry, and we work very hard, so it’s quite possible“, Daniel Hebert says.

Today I’m very proud to tell you that I’ve been asked to join the author-team at SteamFeed. I’m very honored since the requirement is that all the authors have gotten results – either they’ve gotten results personally, or they’ve gotten results for their clients.

I will contribute twice a month and my first post is up on the site already today. It’s called Why You Are Better Off Not Being Perfect Online and it covers the most important thing I consider when it comes to successful interactions online: to be yourself and to act as a real human being on the web. Earlier this month I wrote about the un-me trend here at Communicate [your] Skills and the article over at SteamFeed does follow up on that theme, but from a different angle.

Since this is a revolution, any support you could lend to promoting the post and the SteamFeed community would be appreciated! (To make it easy for you, there are sharing buttons below). Thank you!

I agree with the substance, but I sincerely dislike the slogan. And as commented on Linked In, I support being genuine as long as you have manners. Ref. some rather recent incidents among politicians in Sweden and Finland…

  3. Thank you for sharing this site Anna! All info is valuable for a newbie like me! Especially when it comes from real people! 🙂

    • And another thing about your post…. i gotta say i love you for insisting on the “be yourself” part! All those rules, and tools, and “have to”s, and techniques…. we end up loosing ourselves in the process of being perfect….
